Subject: Important Notice Regarding Recent Payment Processing Issues
Dear Valued Residents,
We hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to inform you about a recent worldwide technical issue that impacted many payment providers, causing disruptions in the processing of credit and debit card payments. While the City of Quincy's technical resources were not affected, the issue did impact our payment provider network. The incident began around 7:00 pm Thursday, July 18, 2024, and was resolved by our payment provider by 11:00 am on Friday, July 19, 2024.
As a result, many of our customers who attempted to pay their bills during this period may have experienced unsuccessful payment transactions. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused and are committed to ensuring that your billing and payments are handled smoothly.
What You Need to Do
We kindly request that you verify whether your recent payment has cleared your bank by Tuesday, July 23, 2024. If you find that your payment did not go through, please take the following steps:
- Check your bank statement to confirm whether the payment was successfully processed.
- If your payment did not clear the bank, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible to ensure your bill is paid. You can reach us at 850-618-0017.
