Operations

The Quincy Fire Department has been in operating for 115 years, it was officially organize in 1897and operated with two volunteer units consisting of 25 members each.  Currently we operate with 17 paid firefighters, 5 part-time firefighters and 15 volunteer firefighter positions.  The Quincy Fire Department provides fire protection services the City of Quincy as well as a large portion of Gadsden County.   Services such as fire suppression, rescue, and medical first responder assistance, and safety prevention and education are offered the service areas.
